Welcome to the QBridge Accelerated program at Queen's University. Before you start your full-time undergraduate studies, you are required to take some language training through QSoE.

Queen’s School of English partners with Canada Homestay Network (CHN) to provide you with an enriching and engaging homestay experience.

Homestay is guaranteed during the language studies portion of the QBridge Accelerated program and offers many benefits.

  • A safe and welcoming place to be your home away from home!
  • Share a Canadian family home and immerse yourself in Canadian culture and language outside of school to speed up your progress in your language program.
  • Make friends in the community which last well beyond the time you study with us.
  • All meals are included.

QBridge Accelerated students are guaranteed a place in Queen's Residence in September when they begin their undergraduate program.

**Please note that while Queen's Residence is available in the summer, there is no dinner service in the cafeteria. Also, students must move out by August 25, 2018 and find alternate accommodations until the September start. For other summer accommodation options please visit http://www.queensu.ca/qsoe/accommodations/other.

To check total fees owing for your studies at Queen's University, you must access your SOLUS account. To access your SOLUS account, log-on to queensu.ca and click 'MySOLUS'.

First Day Schedule

On the first day of your program you will register, meet your teachers, and write a placement test. You will also receive your student card, class schedule and other information regarding QSoE policies and procedures.

Please ensure you are at Queen's University West Campus by 8:30am on your first day. You will meet in the main entrance hallway of Duncan McArthur Hall, also known as Student Street. If you have any questions regarding Queen's Undergraduate Admissions please contact Cheri Horton at hortonc@queensu.ca. If you have any questions about the English language study program, contact QSoE at soerecep@queensu.ca.

University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP)

The University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) is a mandatory health plan for all international Students. Students will register and receive a copy of their UHIP coverage card via Queen’s University email account on the first day of class. Please note that medical coverage begins the day of arrival in Canada.

Queen's International Centre: Student Assistance

The Queen's University International Centre (QUIC) is a support service for all members of the Queen's community. QUIC is a resource for international students and can provide advising for immigration and visa concerns.
