Quantitative Easing and the Canadian Housing Market

Researchers in the Department of Geography and Planning are looking for people to participate in a research study investigating the effects of the Bank of Canada’s COVID-19 programs on the Canadian housing market. If you are 18 years and older and purchased a house between March 2020 and October 2021 you are eligible to participate in this study.

The purpose of this research study is to investigate the decision-making of homebuyers during the period when the Bank of Canada was undertaking its quantitative easing program in order to understand its effects on Canadian housing markets and urban areas.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please fill out a brief, five-minute screening survey (see link below) and, if chosen for a follow-up, we will contact you to arrange for a one-hour interview over Zoom. Interview participants will receive a $25 Tim Hortons or Starbucks Gift Card.
