We have had an interregnum of sorts in big-time sports’ advertising ever since court cases, health laws, and public opprobrium sent Big Tobacco to the sidelines. Now the Big Slot has insinuated itself just as thoroughly into Ontario’s professional sports scene, but, unfortunately, I can’t boycott the games because I just like watching that team so much.
