Spring 2023 - I Walk with a Stick

 

On mountain hikes, I walk with a pair of poles. But down here in the city, where I live, work, spend most of my time, I have set one pole aside. The other, I have recently called into service as a stick. It is adjustable, and for urban use; I keep it short, to about the height of my waist, which has migrated down, because in recent years I have lost five centimetres in height. Something to do with compression in the spine …
