A field of Dog-Strangling Vine (Vincetoxicum rossicum) with a fence through the Wine. There are two trees in the back, one has no leaves.

The first outbreak discovered was to the north, a little beyond some giant maples. We spotted it amongst a pile of brush we had moved from
elsewhere. The ivy had spread into some willows and had established itself nicely. There was now a rich crop of pods on hundreds of plants, twisting their way into the branches.

Prose, in its entirety, is available in the printed version of the current issue.
