The more they talked about it, the more they realized that they all had their own quite personal memories of what they had seen and that no two accounts matched. In fact, they couldn’t even reach agreement on the most basic things, like the number of rooms. Some said six, but most thought there were more than that, with two people claiming they had counted at least ten. Nor could they establish any consensus around the sequence of rooms, the nature of the different dioramas, or the costumes or other identifying features of the mannequins …
