The Book Exchange committee is in search of:
- Readers for this coming summer’s activities.
- One or two people to coordinate or co-coordinate the work of the committee.
- The QWA Book Exchange is an activity where, for the cost of one book, you get to read approximately 8-10 other books over the course of the year and then keep the last book you receive. The books are passed on to the next person in a similar geographic area every 3 - 4 weeks. About 60 plus members are involved in this group.
- In order to decide on the books, a group of avid readers read/consume books from about May to August. We read, read, read books that we ‘borrow’ from a local bookstore, Novel Idea, and then participate in a couple of meetings where we determine the annual criteria, review the books we’ve each read, and compile a short and then a longer list of what we consider to be that year’s ‘best’ books.
