Help us stay connected with you!

Staying connected continues to be very important and we want to be able to reach out to you when it comes to giving you timely information on your studies, your student finances, providing you support services, or contacting designated people in the event of an emergency

For this we have prepared an Activity Guide to help you navigate the SOLUS Student Centre. We would ask that you take the time to complete these important steps to ensure we stay connected throughout your time with us, such as updating:

  • Your ‘Current Mailing Address’ (where you will be living as you start studies in September)
  • Emergency Contact information for those you wish us to notify if needed; and,
  • Reviewing the Student Code of Conduct

By completing these steps, you are helping us provide services and support to you as you progress with your academic career. A link to “How to” instructions for the Activity Guide can be found at:

Do we have your current address and telephone number in SOLUS?

Are you graduating and want your diploma shipped directly to you? Do you require other forms or documents from the Office of the University Registrar? Having your current mailing address and telephone number up to date in SOLUS ensures you get what you need without delay. You can update your information by logging into SOLUS and following the steps on our information page:

Your email address

As a Queen’s student, you will receive a personal email address. This will be the means by which the University will contact you with important information on dates, deadlines, and things you will need to make your academic year a success.

Don’t Delay! Apply for government student financial assistance through your province of residence!

Links to all provinces/territories in Canada can be found on the Student Awards web site here.

2021-22 OSAP:

  • The 2021-2022 Full-time OSAP application is available. For information about OSAP refer to Government Student Aid - OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) on the Financial Aid section of our website. You may also go to the OSAP website for additional information.
  • Ensure you are enrolled in all of your courses for the entire academic year (both Fall and Winter terms) to be assessed for the full value of your 2021-22 OSAP entitlement.
  • Undergraduate students, JD and MD students do NOT report any scholarships, bursaries, or awards received from Queen's University on their OSAP application.  Queen's University will be reporting all undergraduate scholarships/awards/bursaries to OSAP via another reporting mechanism. For information about reporting awards on OSAP, please visit the Student Awards website here
  • Queen’s will confirm full-time enrolment for students who have completed an OSAP application (make sure you have submitted all required documentation). Queen's will begin confirming full-time enrolment close to the start of your study period. Please wait until mid-September (once the OSAP payment has been applied to your Queen’s SOLUS student account) before making an online payment for any remaining balance of fees outstanding (if applicable).

Queen’s General Bursary

The Queen's General Bursary is a non-repayable grant available to students in all years of study who have a demonstrated financial need.  Ensure you are enrolled in all of your courses for the academic year (both Fall and Winter terms) prior to submitting an application. The application will be available early September on your SOLUS Student Centre. Learn More

Do you need Queen’s Verification of Enrolment?

The Online Verification of Enrolment is a snapshot of your current or past registration status at Queen's, and is available for the upcoming Fall Winter 2021-2022 academic year. Learn more

Smile For Your Student Card!

An important part of enrollment is obtaining your student card.  Find out how to submit your photo and how you will receive your student card. Learn More

Please note: We will be mailing Student Photo ID cards to incoming students not in residence and validation stickers to all returning students to the address they have listed in SOLUS.
