Dates and Deadlines

  • May 10        Summer term:  May-June and May-July classes begin
  • May 12        Student grades will appear on official transcripts for Winter 2021 term
  • May 14        Last day to add May-June and May-July courses.
  • May 14        Last day to drop May-June course without financial penalty.
  • May 21        Last day to drop May-July course without financial penalty.
  • May 31        Graduate Students: Last day to self-enroll in the payment plan
  • May 31        Summer General Bursary application deadline

The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) is here to provide service to you and have adjusted our services to online delivery in an effort to help reduce the global spread of the COVID-19 virus. Inquiries can be directed as follows:

If you wish to submit a request to have a form completed (i.e. CPP) or request a letter (i.e. degree confirmation) please visit http://queensu.ca/registrar/forms/doc-request for easy and complete instructions on how to submit the Document Request Form.  

We remain committed to providing service to you and will respond to your request as soon as possible.

 

 

SOLUS is getting a facelift!

From June 18 – 20, SOLUS will be undergoing a scheduled upgrade. SOLUS will be unavailable during this time.

On June 21, SOLUS will get a new look. You will notice a new Queen’s-branded bar across the top of the page and a new Student Centre “tile” on the SOLUS page. Clicking on the new tile will take you to the Student Centre SOLUS page that you are familiar with. Three dots in the upper-right hand corner of the new bar allow you to sign out of the system.

If you have any issues with SOLUS after the upgrade, please contact solus@queensu.ca.

 

Staying connected is now more important than ever!

Please take a moment to complete important steps to ensure your mailing address in SOLUS is up to date and accurate!  Instructions for updating your mailing address (where you are living!) can be found here!

 

Your Winter 2021 classes and grades:

The final grade posting date for the Winter 2021 term is May 12th. It is after that date that Winter 2021 grades will appear on Official Transcripts. For more information on grade posting deadlines and degree conferral schedules, please visit: http://www.queensu.ca/registrar/grades

If you are accessing OSAP - or the equivalent in another Canadian province or territory, or US Student Loans - please consider the government regulations before you decide to drop a course(s).  Please contact the Student Awards Office at awards@queensu.ca for further information.

 

Did you apply to graduate in Spring 2021?  Don’t forget to check the status of your application!

Check your SOLUS account to determine whether your application to graduate has been approved. Click here, and review Step 4.

Students will graduate and degrees will be conferred.  Diplomas will be mailed beginning mid to late June.  Watch for further updates from the Principal available on the University’s web site at https://www.queensu.ca/covidinfo/messages-and-statements

Queen’s Summer General Bursary

Queen's Summer General Bursary is a non-repayable grant available to students enrolled in the summer 2021 term who have a demonstrated financial need. The Summer General Bursary link is on your SOLUS Student Centre in the Finances section. The deadline to apply for the 2021 Summer General Bursary is May 31st. Learn more.

 

Queen’s Summer Work Study Program

Queen's Work Study program provides eligible students demonstrating financial need with the opportunity to receive priority for certain part-time positions while they are registered in studies.  The Summer 2021 Work Study program is now available.  Learn more.
