Fall 2021 Graduation

In-Person Convocation Ceremony Update - August 31, 2021

It is with deep regret that we have had to make the decision to postpone the convocations we had planned to host in October and November.

We had hoped to be able to resume in-person ceremonies this fall, however in response to the evolving data around the transmissibility and risks of the COVID-19 Delta variant, and the province’s indefinite hold in Step 3 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen, we are continuing to postpone in-person ceremonies.

This was not an easy decision but it is one made in the best interests of the health and well-being of our graduates and their families, as well as the Queen’s and Kingston communities.

It remains our intention to invite you to an in-person convocation celebration to mark your graduation from Queen’s when it is again safe for us all to gather.

We will be back in touch about plans for rescheduling in-person convocations when we can be confident of timing and you can also check this website for updates.

We know that this is disappointing news and we share your frustration over the continued delay.  For now, stay safe and be well and we hope to see you all in the not-too-distant future.
