Free RAQ Membership

Good news!

Your RAQ Membership Committee has been successful in negotiating free RAQ membership for all Queen’s retirees as of May 1, 2020.  You will continue to enjoy all the educational and social benefits your membership now gives you, and you’ll also profit from RAQ’s significant advocacy for retirees, but all you have to do in 2020 is register once as a lifetime member of RAQ; you’ll never have to fill out another RAQ form unless your personal details change.

Soon you’ll receive a mailing from Queen’s Human Resources outlining the new benefits package for retirees.  I think you’ll be pleased at the extended benefits that will soon be available to retirees, all achieved through RAQ’s vigorous advocacy on your behalf

Along with that letter from HR, you’ll also get an invitation from RAQ.  To take advantage of all the benefits of your FREE membership, you will need to sign up by completing and mailing in the form included with the invitation, even if you have been a RAQ member in the past.

Early sign-up for free membership will be available for RAQ members beginning February 1st, even before the Queen’s HR package goes out.  Associate members (including spouses of retirees) will continue to pay a modest annual fee as noted on the new membership form.

RAQ is governed by Queen’s Privacy Policy and will use your contact information solely for the purpose of contacting you about RAQ events and benefits.

Finally, I offer my sincere thanks to you, our loyal members, for your support and belief in our organization over the past years. I hope you’re as pleased as I am about this development, and I look forward to continuing our work together to improve the opportunities for Queen’s retirees.

With very best wishes,

Eleanor Rogers

President
