Volunteering

RAQ is run for Queen's retirees by volunteer Queen's retirees.  If you would like to help with tasks such as organizing events, preparing the newsletter, participating in the RAQ Council, etc., contact us at raq@queensu.ca or 613-533-6986.

RAQ members are also active volunteers in many other capacities at Queen's or in local or national organizations.

The links at the right are some of the many opportunities for volunteering that RAQ members may find rewarding.

Some recent volunteer highlights...

RAQ volunteers have served as mentors in "The Ph.D. Community Initiative," which started in the fall of 2016.  This initiative "brings together Ph.D. students from different programs of study into interdisciplinary teams of 3-5 members to assist local community organizations in addressing a particular issue or challenge".  Click here to inquire about participating.
