Who Votes When?

  • Faculty vote for representation on the Board of Trustees in February.

  • Staff vote for representation on the Senate and/or the Board of Trustees in February.

  • Graduates vote for representation on the University Council in May/June.

Why is my Authentication key not accepted by the system?

Ensure you select the correct category for which you are eligible to vote in.

Graduates: Please call the Office of Advancement at 613-533-2060 or 1-800-267-7837, or you can email records@queensu.ca to ensure that your email address is up-to-date and that your communication preferences are set to receive emails from the University. 

Queen's Employees: Staff and Faculty elections are authenticated using your NetID and password, through a single sign-on process.  

Is my vote confidential?

Your vote is confidential. The data is maintained by a secure office exterior to the Office of the University Secretariat. Only the final results of the election are accessible by the University Secretariat. At no time does the University Secretariat have access to the combination of ID number and ballot contents.

How do I find out the Results?

Return to the University Secretariat Elections Homepage 2 weeks after polls close and look for a RESULTS link.
