PEGaSUS Psycho-educational Group for Survivors of Sexual Assault - Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 sessions have been announced

This group offers a supportive space open to all genders of students who have experienced adult sexual assault, a safe space to connect, and an opportunity to recognize strengths, build resilience and work towards self-empowerment.

Sexual Violence Against Males: What we all need to know.   Presentation for all members of the Queen's community.   January 15th 10:30 a.m. - noon

Male Sexual Trauma: The essentials for those in the helping professions. Presentation for professional staff. January 15th 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. 

Both presented by Rick Goodwin, Director, Men & Healing (Ottawa)

Join us on Tuesday January 15th in the Alumni Lounge, Athletics and Recreation Centre for one of two presentations with a focus on discussing male sexual trauma.  Both presentations are FREE. Also join us in the Queen's Centre on January 15th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for a Resource Fair featuring the PSC, SHRC, SAC Kingston, the Human Rights & Equity Office and special guests, the Assaulted Women's Helpline and LGTB Youthline !

Orientation Week Guest Speaker - Sunday September 2, 2018

Once again, Queen's welcomed Farrah Khan, as our Orientation Week guest.  Farrah is a nationally recognized public speaker and educator on sexual violence, and is currently working as Ryerson University’s Sexual Violence Support and Education Coordinator. She is co-chair of the Ontario Provincial Roundtable on Violence Against Women, has co-created several community-centred initiatives, and is a leader in many grassroots equity movements. Farrah spoke to the incoming class about the meaning and importance of consent and how to ask for consent in order to continue to foster a culture of consent on our campus. 

Sidewalk Sale - September 5, 2018

Thanks for visiting  the Human Rights Office/Sexual Violence Prevention & Response booth at the sidewalk sale.  We partnered with Flip the Script, Consensual Humans, the Office of Faith and Spiritual Life, and CHAMP members to bring information and a bit of fun (spin wheel trivia) to the sidewalk.
