Policy on Sexual Violence Involving Queen’s University Students

The university recognizes that the issue of sexual violence on university campuses is an evolving issue. The policy on sexual violence is currently under review.  Section 8.8 remains temporarily, partially suspended.  A public consultation process on the suggested revisions was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Information about the resumption of the review and consultation process is expected in the summer of 2020.

Non-Academic Misconduct and the Student Conduct Office

Queen's Student Code of Conduct policy is the foundation for the university's non-academic misconduct system (NAM), which provides a process for identifying and addressing misconduct within the Queen's community.

Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Task Force

The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Task Force (previously the SVPR "Working Group") was established in 2013 as a network of students, faculty and staff who convened to mobilize efforts to prevent and respond to sexual assault on campus, and to effect change at the individual, institutional and cultural levels, to contribute to a safer campus environment.
