What drew you to the PHMI program at Queen’s?

Queen’s reputation was the initial intrigue factor to look at this program which addresses a critical gap in the industry.  A pathway for new talent to be identified is a win / win for the student and for the industry.

How has your experience with PHMI interns been so far?

We have participated in 2 rounds of internships and have been very impressed by the high caliber of the students, their commitment and their potential.

What kind of career opportunities does PHMI open for its alumni?

This program offers that critical opening step for interested students to start to work within the medical roles in pharma, from field to head office, from medical affairs to regulatory and other affiliated roles.

If someone was considering taking the PHMI program, what advice would you give them? 

Take the time to meet and speak with past / current students, pharma industry contacts and faculty at the PHMI program to evaluate if this program, and a career in the pharma industry, is the right fit for you and your aspiratuons.
