Statement of Commitment to EDII

The Division of Student Affairs (DSA) at Queen’s University is committed to fostering greater diversity, equity, inclusivity, indigeneity (EDII) and accountability. Queen’s has made progress in recent years, and we remain engaged in equity initiatives, recognizing our efforts must be intentional and ongoing to foster a more inclusive community.

  • The DSA recognizes diversity as a central component in achieving desired student learning outcomes and puts diversity and inclusion efforts at the centre of its decision-making.
  • The DSA welcomes and supports students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds and lived experiences.
  • We value diverse perspectives as they strengthen our campus community.
  • We will continue to initiate and support equity initiatives that create a safe and inclusive campus environment.
  • We commit to engaging in the ongoing work to thoughtfully respond to the experiences and needs of students on our campus.
  • We will not tolerate any form of harassment and discrimination and will work together to remove and challenge systemic barriers that impede inclusivity and student success.
