Awards for School of English Students

The following awards have been made available thanks to the generosity of Queen's donors.

Students who are currently registered at Queen's University School of English can apply for the following awards. Students will be notified by either the Student Awards Office or their Faculty if they have been selected for an award. 

Please pay close attention to the application instructions and deadlines.


Marion Edith Dubin Memorial Scholarship in English Composition

Established in memory of Marion Edith Dubin (nee Hamilton) and awarded to a student who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study at the School of English. Awarded on the basis of an English composition. Selection will be made by the Awards Committee of The School of English. Application is by specified English composition and application form submitted to the School of English by 18 November.

Golden Source International Award

Established in November 2018 by Golden Source International. Awarded to students enrolled in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program on the basis of an English composition. Selection will be made by the Awards Committee of the School of English. Application is by specified English composition and application form submitted to the Queen's School of English by the date specified on the Queen's School of English website for each EAP program.

Note: Eligibility for this award is limited to students in a non-degree program in the School of English. Please visit the School of English website for program information.

Queen's School of English 75th Anniversary Award

Established in November 2017 by the Queen's School of English to celebrate their 75th Anniversary. Awarded to students enrolled in the Canadian Academic English Experience Program on the basis of an English composition.  Selection will be made by the Awards Committee of the School of English. Application is by specified English composition and application form submitted to the Queen's School of English in July of each year.
