FAQs - Upper Year Awards

The terms of your award do state that you must be registered as a full-time student in an undergraduate degree program to retain the award. A full-time course load is enrolment in a minimum of  60% of the full course load required for the faculty you are registered in (typically 18  credit units in Fall/Winter) at Queen's University. Please note that if you are in receipt of a renewable award, a student is expected to be registered in an 80% course load (typically 24 credit units in Fall/Winter) in their degree program at Queen's University as part of the renewal conditions.  It is important to note if the student is registered in a 60% course load they will be able to retain the funds in the current academic year, however, will not be eligible for renewal for the subsequent academic year because they were not enrolled in an 80% course load.
Yes. However, you must be registered in a minimum of 9 credit units for the academic year in your degree program at Queen's University.  You must inform the Student Awards in writing otherwise the scholarship will automatically be removed from your student account.
