Bursary Assistance for COVID-19 related extenuating circumstances

As part of its ongoing response to COVID-19, Queen’s University has provided $2.94 million in emergency bursary funding to undergraduate and graduate students from March 16, 2020 to May 20, 2020. The assistance is designed to help with immediate and short-term financial challenges posed by the pandemic.

International Graduate Students:  If you did not previously apply for a Queen’s General bursary the university will accept applications for supplemental bursary assistance in an effort to help with immediate and short-term needs for those encountering extenuating and unplanned financial challenges as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.   If your financial circumstances have changed as a result of COVID-19, the option of applying for the COVID-19 related bursary assistance is available to you.

Please submit the below online form for consideration of Bursary assistance for extenuating circumstances related to COVID-19.  Please be assured your application will be reviewed and only submit the application once.

Please note consideration for eligibility of this bursary is only available to students who were enrolled at Queen’s in the 2020 Winter term.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of applications and please be assured the Student Awards Office is diligently reviewing all applications as quickly as possible.

If you are granted a bursary it will be viewable in SOLUS (Finances; Financial Aid; View Financial Aid) and will be electronically sent to your personal bank account within 3-5 days.

Please ensure your bank account information is up to date in SOLUS. Here are the Instructions for setting up your banking information in SOLUS.
