SOAR is a is a one-day summer orientation program organized by the Student Experience Office (SEO), in partnership with faculties and schools that aims to help ease the transition of incoming first-year students and their families. Click here to register!

The Next Steps website provides you with a checklist of tasks you should be completing in the months leading up to starting at Queen's. We encourage checking the website every month to ensure you don't miss any important tasks or deadlines.


Summer Webinars

Join us at our online webinars

Starting in May and continuing throughout the summer, a variety of departments around campus will be offering webinars to provide you with information, tips, and resources prior to your arrival on campus. Webinars are being offered on a wide variety of topics, including residence life, student life, academics, orientation, course registration, and more. Arts and Science Handbook

Get help with course registration (for Arts and Science students)

Read through the 2019-20 Arts and Science 101 handbook (coming soon!) to learn everything you need to know about Arts and Science, including information about your degree program and course selection. The handbook will be emailed to all students in June. Still have questions? Call the Faculty of Arts and Science first year hotline at (613) 533-6708 to speak with a Registration Assistant.

Learn to Navigate SOLUS

Learn more about SOLUS, including how to use the shopping cart function, enroll for courses, view your account summary, designate an emergency contact, and more, by browsing through the tutorials in SOLUS Central.


Parent Resources

Queen's has a specific webpage geared towards parents detailing important dates, resources, and other topics a parent may be thinking about. This is also where parents can sign up to receive emails from Queen's on a regular basis.


Connect with your classmates

Join the Class of 2023 Facebook group, and begin getting to know your classmates. The group provides an avenue for incoming students to meet each other, share their excitement for the fall, learn important information, and get their questions answered by upper-year students.
