Traverse through time and rediscover the forgotten love.
“Sirocco is a once in a lifetime experience,” describes Plays to See.
The Queen's University Jazz Ensemble provides a place for music students at Queen's to collaborate in the creation of big band music. Students from the Dan School of Drama and Music, plus students from many other disciplines come together each year to create a unique ensemble. The repertoire is usually taken from traditional big band charts and also explores new music by musicians who are currently active in today's music scene.
Two of the DAN School’s largest ensembles pair up for an evening full of entertainment! The Queen’s Choral Ensemble and Orchestra perform Mozart’s Requiem in D minor. The Orchestra will perform Dvorak’s Symphony No.9 in E minor “From the New World” and will also feature our 2023 Concerto Aria Competition winner, Noah Lee, violin, performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor.
Now in its 30th season, the Gryphon Trio joins forces with celebrated Canadian clarinetist and long-time friend James Campbell.
