A Little Bit In Love: Bernstein & Brahms - ARC Ensemble with Patricia O'Callaghan
Delight in the songs from Bernstein’s Candide, On the Town, and Wonderful Town, and the beautiful Brahms Clarinet Quintet with TSO Principal Clarinetist, Joaquin Valdepeñas. Leonard Bernstein’s extravagant talents could frustrate many groups. The classical music devotees would have had him compose more and conduct less, the Broadway fans saw him as the saviour of the American musical, and educators watched him demystify music (without removing the mystery) — all of whom wanted him to devote himself to the part of his genius in which they were most invested. However, Bernstein pursued every project with the commitment of the moment and he consumed life in much the same way.
