2023-24 Indigenous Storytelling for Kids

Listen and learn about Indigenous traditions and culture from local Tyendinaga Mohawk storytellers, Aweranawen and Tewateronhiahkhwa.

Aweranawen will be telling cultural stories that are designed to teach Onkwehón:we children morals and responsibilities. His energy and expressive nature helps to paint the pictures in the minds of the audience.

Tewateronhiahkhwa will share in the story telling experience by embracing the Harvest season that is upon us. The story of the Three Sisters will be told. It is a story about not only our relationship with food, but also our connection with each other.

Recommended for ages 6-10 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
