Training & Support available

We are transitioning to an online Biohazard Permit application process through the Tools for Research at Queen’s (TRAQ) system.  This is designed to be an administrative improvement on the current paper-based system.  There are many types of training support for the system provided by the TRAQ Team and these are described below.

Planned Upgrade Thursday, January 9, 2014

Planned Upgrade Thursday, January 9, 2014

The TRAQ system will be down all day on Thursday, January 9th for a planned upgrade of our Researcher Portal to the latest version of Process Pathways ROMEO software.

This upgrade is in preparation to make the Awards module visible to our research community. Researchers will be able to see their existing files during the training and transition period. Researchers are asked to use the DSS form until the transition period ends in March 2014.

TRAQ has moved to the 2nd floor of Fleming Hall, Jemmett Wing

The TRAQ Team Has Relocated!

Still part of University Research Services, the TRAQ team has relocated to the 2nd floor of Fleming Hall/Jemmett Wing.

Our team of 7 are now all together: Jennifer Clark, Tom Herra, Ingrid Gagnon, Bill Dean, Andrew Beckett, Pat Ambrose and Traci Allen.

As we settle in we will continue to maintain our objectives of:

Compatibility issue in IE10

TRAQ system not compatible with IE10

There is a compatibility issue between the TRAQ system and new Internet Explorer 10. The software company Process Pathways is working on outstanding issues to achieve full compatibility with IE10. In the meantime please use Mozilla Firefox or IE version lower than IE10. If you need to use IE10, please turn on Compatibility view before signing into the Researcher Portal.

TRAQ presents to Biohazard Committee

TRAQ presents to Biohazard Committee

There will be a presentation of the electronic biohazard form scheduled for the next Biohazards Committee meeting on January 30, 2013. The presentation will demonstrate what the forms will look like online, and give the committee an opportunity to comment or ask questions.

TRAQ previously presented an overview of the online ROMEO system at the December 11, 2012 meeting.
