How to log into Queen's Human Ethics Application System:

Faculty / Staff / Reviewers:

If you are a current Queen's Faculty or Staff member with a Queen's Net ID please log in to MyQueensU/Solus on the Queen' s homepage to access the TRAQ Researcher Portal.

  1. Click Search and Sign In (top right corner)
  2. Click on MyQueensU/Solus under the heading University Wide
  3. Enter your Queen's net id and password when prompted
  4. Click My Applications
  5. Select Go to the TRAQ Researcher Portal from the box titled TRAQ Researcher Portal
  6. Your TRAQ Researcher Portal will open


Please note: If this is the first time that you are submitting an application you will need to Self-Register. 

  • If you are a Queen's Student (undergraduate and graduate), Postdoctoral Fellow, External User (other non-Queen's institution) trying to log in for the first time, please complete the online Self-Registration Form.
  • First time TRAQ users can access Self Registration page to register in the system. Once you fill out Self registration page and click on the REGISTER button, you will receive a registration notification email with instructions to set up your own password.


Self-Registration Steps:

  1. First, you will need to self-register through the site Tools for Research at Queen’s (TRAQ) at:
    There is a helpful drop-down Registration Guide in the left corner of the screen.
  2. You will need to fill in the information in the required boxes that have an asterisk (*) beside them.
  3. You must fill in your Rank even though it doesn’t have an asterisk beside it. Beside Rank there will be a drop-down selection: choose your appropriate rank.
  4. It is important that you include your Affiliation information as well. See below for more information.
  5. Once you have completed the Self Registration Form you will be required to create a password.
  6.  For all future log-ins you will require your full email address and your password. If you forget your password contact TRAQ technical support at: or call or (613) 533-6000 x 78426.


Affiliation on the Self-Registration Form

  • If you are a student, Postdoctoral Fellow, or staff member and your Department has a GREB Unit REB, you must select Unit level and then appropriate Unit name (e.g., Unit Business):
  • Departments that have Unit REBs are: 
    • School of Business, Cultural Studies, Faculty of Education, Gender Studies, Geography and Planning, Global Development Studies, School of Kinesiology and Health Studies, School of Drama and Music, Political Studies, Psychology, and Sociology.  
  • If you belong to any other Department, please select Department level and then choose your Department from drop-down menu list. In the event that your Department is not on the list, please select OTHER and specify your Department in the Comments section.

If you received your Notification Registration and registered with the system, please log in here using your email address and password that you have selected during your registration process. 


HSREB and GREB Reviewers: Log In

If you are on the Health Sciences and Affiliated Teaching Hospitals Research Ethics Board (HSREB) or General Research Ethics Board (GREB), please log in on the Queen’s Romeo log in page to review applications:

Unit REB Chair and Unit REB Members: Log In 

Some departments have a Unit REB for initial reviews and course-based research. If you are in the role of Unit REB Chair or Member of a Unit REB for your Department, please log in here:
