This website is meant to serve as a repository of websites and resources related to the 2019 CIHR Collaborative Health Research Projects competition.

  1. URS has updated its resources for this competition. These includes an updated CHRP LOI competition package (opens new window) (PDF, 1.5 MB; Net ID & password required), which includes: 1) a summary of important info about the competition; 2) an LOI checklist, and; 3) a Biosketch CCV checklist.
  2. URS has created a CHRP panel discussion summary (opens new window) (PDF, 805 KB; Net ID & password required). LOI Review Process - University Research Services

LOI Review Process

The deadline to receive an LOI REVIEW from University Research Services is June 12, 2019. Reviews are optional, but are recommended. Note that the review is not a scientific review (i.e. a review undertaken by health sciences researchers). The review is performed by a Research Projects Advisor at University Research Services. The advisor will:

  • Perform a detailed reading and content review of your application (includes editing suggestions)
  • Send you detailed comments / feedback

If you would like to have your application reviewed by University Research Services, please email Kristina Arseneau ( your LOI documents no later than October June 12, 2019.  Please remember that the closer your application is to complete, the more useful the review process will be. LOIs will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Submission Process - University Research Services / CIHR

Submission Process
  • Your application must be submitted using ResearchNet. When you submit your LOI it will be sent directly to CIHR, not URS.

  • A TRAQ DSS is NOT required at the LOI stage (only the application stage). URS is NOT required to sign the CIHR signature page at the LOI stage.
