LOI Review Process - University Research Services

The deadline to receive an LOI REVIEW from University Research Services is May 15, 2018. Note that the review is not a scientific review (i.e. a review undertaken by health sciences researchers). The review is performed by a Research Projects Advisor at University Research Services. The advisor will:

  • Perform a detailed reading and content review of your application (includes editing suggestions)
  • Send you detailed comments / feedback

If you would like to have your LOI reviewed by University Research Services, please email Kristina Arseneau (k.arseneau@queensu.ca) no later than May 15 with a copy of:

  1. your 1-page summary;
  2. your LOI form; and,
  3. your participant table.

Please remember that the closer your LOI is to complete, the more useful the review process will be. LOIs will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

LOI Submission Process

  • PIs are required to create & submit this LOIs using ResearchNet. Please note that when you submit your LOI in ResearchNet, it will go directly to CIHR (not URS).
  • You will need to complete a CIHR signature sheet BEFORE you submit your LOI to CIHR. To do so, please:

    2. Gather signatures from the named applicants on your grant (except collaborators & the PI).
    3. Upload the completed signature sheet in Task 7.
  • This year, Research Services will NOT be required to sign the LOI signature sheet on behalf of Queen's as the institution paid.
  • A TRAQ DSS is NOT required at the LOI stage of this competition. A TRAQ will only be required if you are invited to the full application stage of the competition.
