New Frontiers Research Fund Exploration Grants are also eligible for extensions, and three types of extensions have been announced. Please note the extensions for NFRF-Exploration grants are different than those available to other tri-agency programs.

  • Amount and duration of these awards has been revised due to COVID-19
  • Grantees were provided 2.2 months’ worth of additional funding
  • All grantees have received their Amended Grant Summary from the agency, and all Queen’s files (TRAQ, PeopleSoft) have been updated with the additional funding, and updated end date
  • The new end date (March 28, 2022) provides an additional 9.8 months to use up any unspent funds
  • No need for action; extensions are completed
