The Journal of Critical Race Inquiry

The Equity Office and the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) are very pleased to announce the publication of the Journal of Critical Race Inquiry (CRI), a new Canadian peer-reviewed journal. The first issue of CRI was released April 1, 2010 and can be found at http://library.queensu.ca/ojs/index.php/CRI

The mandate of the CRI is to explore how ‘race’ as a category is constituted, circulated and embedded in and through various sites (e.g. economic, political, linguistic, epistemological, etc.). We welcome works that consider the interlocking nature of oppression, such as the intersectionality of race with gender, social class, sexual orientation, ability, age, religion, ethnicity, regionalism etc. The Journal aims to provide a foundation for Canadian scholarship on race within a North American context.

We hope that this Journal will become the premier forum in Canada to foster discussion about race within and across disciplines in articles, book reviews, creative works, and round tables in future issues.
