The mandate of the CRI is to explore how ‘race’ as a category is constituted, circulated and embedded in and through various sites (e.g. economic, political, linguistic, epistemological, etc.). We welcome works that consider the interlocking nature of oppression, such as the intersectionality of race with gender, social class, sexual orientation, ability, age, religion, ethnicity, regionalism etc. The Journal aims to provide a foundation for Canadian scholarship on race within a North American context.
We hope that this Journal will become the premier forum in Canada to foster discussion about race within and across disciplines in articles, book reviews, creative works, and round tables in future issues.
