Queen's Human Rights Office

The Human Rights Office works with members of the Queen's community to promote human rights and prevent harassment and discrimination.

Campus Accessibility Guide

This guide contains information about the accessibility features of many buildings and classrooms as well as accessible route information for getting about campus. 

Health, Counselling & Disability Services

Disability Services assist students with disabilities by creating and recommending plans of accommodation, providing information, advocacy and support and by educating the Queen's community about its role and responsibilities in accommodating students with disabilities.  The Disability Services Advisor is Theresa Richard.  Her telephone number is (613) 633-6000, ext. 77150 and her e-mail is richardt@queensu.ca.

This website, maintained by our Human Resources Department, is a source for health information and tools as well as details about upcoming events in Wellness @ Queen's.

Library Services for Students with Disabilities

Library Services for Students with Disabilities (LSSD) provides a variety of services including library and research assistance, access to adaptive technology, purchasing or preparation of course materials in various formats as well as information and support.  The LDDS's Coordinator is Michele Chittenden and she can be reached at (613) 533-2833.  Her e-mail is chittend@queensu.ca.

Employment Accommodation in the Queen's Workplace

Employee Assistance Program

Queen's University provides access to short-term counselling and support to promote and maintain the well-being of all employees.

Accessibility Queen's

Accessibility Queen's(AQ) is a student-government committee responsible for allocating funds from student fees towards initiatives and projects that will enhance student life accessibility.   Some past projects include technology upgrades in computer labs, establishing an accessibility award and installing accessibility features in the John Deutsch University Centre.  You can reach AQ at accessibility@ams.queensu.ca

Faculty and students share responsibility for the successful accommodation of students with disabilities.  This guide provides information about the rights, roles and responsibilities of various parties as well as guidelines about disabilities and typical corresponding accommodations.
