Iain H. Bruce

About

Iain is a first year MA student working under Dr. Jeffrey McNairn. His research interests lie primarily in relations along the US/Canadian border, particularly in the Upper St. Lawrence and Lower Great Lakes region, with particular attention to how life was lived by people along the border as it evolved “from borderland to bordered land.” He expects his research to touch on issues of immigration, culture, trade and commerce, and family relations.

Iain’s professional career was spent in financial services industries in New York City, and he has had deep involvement with a number of not-for-profit organizations.
