Stephen Brown is an Associate Professor in the School of Environmental Studies and the Department of Chemistry at Queen's University. The main goal of his research group is the development of new methods of environmental analysis, with emphasis on detecting small organic compounds in aqueous samples. This requires development of instruments and chemical/biochemical assays to provide sensitive and selective measurement of a particular contaminant.
Dr. Brown is the Program Director of the LEADERS CREATE, a co-director of the COVID-19 Wastewater Surveillance and a Theme Lead on the Ontario Research Fund - Research Excellence.
