Correctional Law Project

This specialized legal aid clinic in Queen's Faculty of Law was founded in 1978 by law professor Ronald Price.

The project has two interrelated purposes:

  • to provide legal advice, assistance and representation in the area of correctional law to inmates of the Kingston area's federal penitentiaries
  • to provide clinical legal education in the field of correctional law to law students, who can work at the clinic as part of an upper-year course

The project is funded by the Ontario Legal Aid Plan and the Faculty of Law.
