French Conversational Classes

If you are interested in joining our next session of Beginner, Beginner Plus, or Intermediate classes, please add your name to this list: INTEREST LIST 2024-2025

The classes we offer are determined by interest/enrolment. We typically run both a Beginner and Beginner Plus class in the Fall and Winter Terms.

BEGINNER 
[very little or no background in French and/or have not practiced in many years (10+)]

BEGINNER PLUS
[basic background; know some elementary vocabulary and simple phrases]

INTERMEDIATE
[moderate background; fairly comfortable with reading/writing but need more oral practice]

  • Classes are offered two times per year: the first session typically starts in October and the second session starts in February.
  • Classes are two hours per week, in the evening, for 8 weeks.
  • The precise schedule will be released a few weeks prior to the start date.

COST = $200 for 8 weeks of 2-hour classes

  • Payment of cash or cheque (payable to “Queen’s University”)
  • Due on the first day of class or can be dropped off to our office in Kingston Hall, Room 300 

Certificates of Completion will be awarded (upon request) to participants who attend a minimum of 75% of classes.
