The Miller Museum of Geology at Queen's University is an active resource for people interested in geology: the study of the Earth. Come in to marvel at the beautiful minerals and crystals from around the world in the extensive display gallery, dig for dinosaur fossils, and play in our amazing new Augmented Reality Sandbox!
Regular hours are 9am-4:30pm year round on weekdays only (except Statutory Holidays) for self-guided tours of the mineral and fossil exhibit galleries. Note: the museum will be closed Monday, June 30th, 2025 and Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 due to Queen's University closure related to the Canada Day statutory holiday.
A variety of instructor-led educational programs are also available, presented in the Dr Richard Milne Geo-science Education Classroom. These programs must be pre-booked (minimum of one week in advance) and are intended for school groups, summer camp groups, and any other group of 10-30 people interested in learning more about Earth Science in the museum classroom.
