About the University Secretariat and Legal Counsel

Queen's University was established by Royal Charter on October 16, 1841.

The University Secretariat supports and assists the Board of Trustees, the Senate and the University Council to achieve their objectives. Legal Counsel provides legal advice and support to university partners.

The University Secretariat and Legal Counsel sustains the good governance of Queen's University and is the authoritative source of institutional memory and impartial advice for all members of the University community.
