We are grateful for the very generous funding and infrastructural support from:
- the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine, Queen's University, and
- the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO).
This support enables us to carry out transformative research and work toward establishing an advanced microscopy diagnostic program at the Kingston Health Science Centre.
Philanthropic Contribution and Community Participation
We welcome funding contribution and community participation to create toward a locally-sustainable advanced microscopy diagnostic program for immunotherapy and other experimental therapy.
Currently, there is no funding model to cover the implementation and operational costs of these novel diagnostic tests in the pathology laboratory.
Community and philanthropic contribution are crucial to fill this immediate funding gap, while we work with health policy specialists and health-care system administrators to create formal mechanisms of cost-recovery for this novel diagnostic program.
Philanthropic funding will be used to acquire advanced laboratory equipment and laboratory reagents, and to create job positions for those who want to enter this area of diagnostic medicine and work in a thriving and rewarding community-supported work environment.
