Student AffairsQueen’s University offers Indigenous candidates an alternate path for admission to the first year of a full-time, first-entry undergraduate degree program. Candidates seeking admission under this pathway apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC), and self-identify as having Indigenous ancestry. Using this pathway candidates must meet the general admission conditions for each program and deadlines for admission. This may also include completion of any applicable Supplementary Essays (SE) as well as audition or portfolio submission requirements.
Offers of admission will be made to Indigenous candidates whose total application shows strong evidence of academic preparedness and potential. Students who are admitted under this pathway will be encouraged to make use of the academic advising and academic support services available to all students at Queen’s. Candidates should submit a separate letter to the Indigenous Community Liaison stating that they wish to be considered under this pathway and provide evidence of Indigenous ancestry.
