Campus Tours are Postponed Indefinitely

We know that visiting our campus and getting to know Queen’s is an important part of the decision-making process in choosing the right university for you. Queen’s University staff and faculty members are working hard to develop alternatives to bridge the gap this cancellation creates – stay tuned for upcoming online options.

This decision has been made thinking of the health, safety, and well-being of our visitors and community, both on-campus and off, and in close consultation with Public Health. While we are disappointed we will not get to meet you and your family next weekend, everyone’s health and safety is our top priority.

Are you a grade 11 (or younger) student who planned to come for a Campus Tour or attend our March Break Open House? Kudos for planning ahead! There will be many more opportunities for you to visit our campus, connect with students and professors, visit our residences, try our delicious food, and more! Fall Preview is coming in November and we will be happy to see you in March Break Open House in 2021!

We look forward to engaging with you online and seeing you in September!

Tour Details

  • Tours start and end from our Welcome Centre on the 2nd floor of Gordon Hall.
  • Tours are approximately two hours in length.
  • Our knowledgeable guides are current Queen’s students.
  • Tours include visits to:
    • residence rooms, and associated areas such as common rooms
    • one of the six locations of Queen's library
    • the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC)
    • one of our dining halls
    • a lecture hall or teaching space

We try to customize the tour experience to the tour group, however, due to time constraints and restricted facility access at certain times of the year, it may not be possible to see everything on campus. Our tours focus on campus facilities and our student support and success services. Should you have any questions at the end of the tour your guide will bring you back to Gordon Hall where you will have the ability to speak to an Admission Coordinator.

Residence tours at exam times: Please note that we try our best to make sure you experience all that Queen’s has to offer. However, out of respect to our hard working students, tours that take place during exams periods (December and April) do not include residence room visits. You can however view all of our residences online at any time.
