21st Annual Indigenous Knowledge Symposium

Please join us for Day 2 of the 21st Annual Indigenous Knowledge Symposium presented by Queen's University in collaboration with the Kingston Public Library and the Kingston Indigenous Language Nest.
This event is a free and accessible event open to students, staff, faculty and community. For those interested, there will be a Sunrise Ceremony taking place at Breakwater Park beginning at 6:45 a.m. for additional information please contact indigenous.initiatives@queensu.ca.
Day 2 of the Symposium will consist of:
A morning of panel discussions topics ranging from Sovereignty of Land to Community Language Learning. This will be followed by an afternoon of language learning and discussions featuring sharing circles, breakout sessions and learning by doing. We will have Anishinaabemowin and Haudenosaunee speakers present to assist with learning the languages.
New this year, we will have family story time for young ones - this offering will consist of story telling being blended with language learning for young minds.
