Country duo The Abrams have been in the family business since they were kids. That business is music. John Abrams (Queen's alumnus) and his brother James Abrams are coming home to Kingston this November, bringing their upbeat bluegrass/folk-rock sound to the Isabel stage.
Barely into their teens, the brothers made their mark at many high profile US bluegrass festivals, and in 2005 became the youngest Canadians to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. Their influences include Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, the Louvin Brothers, and Jim & Jesse.
Their song writing celebrates the Canadian country life, complete with acoustic guitars and banjo riffs, stories about being young and experiencing the simple, beautiful moments of life, and two hometown country boys.
