This workshop is broken up into two parts.
Part one consists of three asynchronous modules created by the Human Rights and Equity Office (HREO), focusing on accessibility in the workplace and what you can do to ensure an inclusive working environment for you and your colleagues.

To receive credit for this workshop you must email proof of completion to hrodl@queensu.ca by October 10th at 4:00pm.
Part two consists of a 1-hour online session where participants will explore workplace accommodation at Queen's University. Participants will gain foundational knowledge related to who is included in the accommodation process, what information is required and the function/role of the Return to Work and Accommodations Department at Queen's. Throughout this workshop we will draw upon real-life scenarios so that the participants understand the pivotal role they can play in recognizing and implementing the concept of accessibility and accommodation in their workplace.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand your role in creating an inclusive workplace for yourself and others
- Provide an understanding of the duty to accommodate within a diverse and unionized environment
- Provide the most recent developments in the law pertaining to the duty to accommodate
- Explore what the accommodation process entails (i.e. who's involved, what information is required and how to implement a workplace accommodation process)
