Description:

It is with pleasure that the African Caribbean Students’ Association (ACSA) invites you to our annual Culture Show. This year, ACSA presents to you Culture Show 2019: Legacy. Join us for an evening of performances (voice, dance, spoken word, story-telling) as well as our highly-anticipated fashion show, as we take you throughout various time periods, cultures and social movements.

Through showcasing Legacy, we wish to pay homage to the ancestors and the rich histories of our cultures. Through art and celebration, we hope to highlight the beauty and strength of the Diaspora. Every year ACSA brings together various cultural groups and performers across the Queen’s and Kingston community and aims to create a memorable night filled with talent, pride and diversity.

This year, the African and Caribbean Students' Association is proud to announce the Vaah Junior Foundation as our chosen charity. Vaah Junior Foundation was established to raise awareness on maternal mortality due to lack of adequate healthcare infrastructure and healthcare capacity in Sub Saharan Africa, more specifically in Ghana. The mandate and critical work of this organization falls in line perfectly with the 2019 Culture Show theme of Legacy, as we wish to celebrate excellence, promote inclusion, and foster recognitive justice.

We look forward to you all joining us in celebration of the diverse and rich culture at Queen’s and the phenomenal talent that will be displayed.
