The Alma Mater Society will be hosting the AMS Community Development Summit on Saturday, April 7th at the Delta Hotel. There will be four workshops that will begin with expert presentations, and will be followed by self-directed, group activities. The four workshops will be on urban planning in the University District, smart street design to enhance multi-modal transportation, economic development & student retention, and, lastly, student-community relations & accountability.
The three lead keynote speakers will be our local MPP, Sophie Kiwala, SURP Director, Dr. David Gordon, and planning professor and author of Town & Gown: From Conflict to Cooperation, Dr. Michael Fox.
