Description:
This workshop has been developed specifically for managers at Queen's. It will focus on a number of topics including:
- Self-awareness as it relates to creating boundaries
- Differentials of power and maintaining a professional mindset
- Aloneness in the managerial role
- Necessary personal conversations
Learning outcomes: by the end of the session, learners will be able to
- Describe their own needs with respect to boundaries
- Identify their level of power and how it affects professional relationships
- Acknowledge their own level of aloneness as a manager and identify some strategies for dealing with their experiences
- Identify when conversations regarding boundaries are necessary and ways to make them easier.
