Queen's University has long held a strong tradition of excellence in the field of particle astrophysics embodied by a research team which has lead world-class experiments at SNOLAB and has won many prestigious awards including the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics and the 2016 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics. In 2016, Queen's and its collaborators were awarded a generous Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) grant to form the CPARC, a new research centre in particle astrophysics!

The creation of CPARC brings with it many unique opportunities, in particular for prospective graduate students. CPARC's program for graduate students will include special funding opportunities, internships with industry partners, a global PhD exchange program, business development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and outreach activities.
