Description:

Queen's Division of Cardiology & KHSC Cardiac Program present this full day symposium, featuring Dr. Jeff Healey, speaking on New Anticoagulation Strategies for Patients with Coronary Artery Disease.  Cased-based workshops on cardio-oncology, post-op care and managing the geriatric patient with heart failure, to name a few, will compliment the plenary session throughout the day.

This program will identify appropriate local resources, review the newest strategies and discuss the most up-to-date guidelines, devices and procedures that will enable the primary healthcare professional to provide better care for their patients living with coronary disease. The participant will more accurately interpret tests such as ECGs, more confidently implement post-operative care to their patients after cardiac surgery and will feel better informed to manage infections arising from implanted cardiac devices.
