The Conversation Canada at Queen's University – Online Workshop

On September 17 and 21, Queen’s will welcome Scott White, Editor-in-Chief of The Conversation Canada, and members of his editorial team to host two online, interactive workshops for faculty, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows to learn how to leverage this platform and develop and test potential article pitches. As a founding member of The Conversation Canada, over the last three years the Queen’s research community has embraced the platform as a unique tool for sharing their research expertise and engaging with the media. More than 160 Queen’s researchers have published 270 articles that have received an impressive 4.3 million views via The Conversation Canada’s website. Through the platform’s Creative Commons Licensing and newswire access, dozens of major media outlets, including Maclean’s, The National Post, CNN, TIME, The Washington Post, The Sydney Herald, and Scientific American, have republished these pieces.
