Description:

A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical treatise on love, longing, and memory, is a waltz-time romance-for-the-ages with an acclaimed score featuring his most enduring song Send in the Clowns. Based on Ingmar Bergmann’s only comic film (Smiles of A Summer Night), the story is set in rural Sweden at the start of the 20th Century when a weekend in the country brings together a group of lovers and rivals – including a small-town lawyer, a famous actress, a vainglorious dragoon, and their spouses, children, and entourages. The result is intrigues, new understandings, late- night confessions, beautiful harmonies, and, most importantly, a generous helping of romantic revelation with a touch of the moon.
