Dive into the career story of David McKay, President and CEO of RBC, and his journey to success.

On November 5th, the Queen’s Finance Association is incredibly excited to welcome David McKay for a 1-hour inside look on his career journey, from starting as an intern for RBC and climbing to become President and CEO.

RBC is the largest bank and most profitable company in Canada. Learn the story of the individual responsible for its success.

David joined RBC in 1983 as a co-op student working as a COBOL programmer in the IT department. Over the next several decades, David climbed through various departments and positions at RBC, becoming President and CEO in 2014.

This event is hosted at Grant Hall, Queen’s University, on November 5th, 2021. The panel will be moderated by Laura Connolly & Lucas Gordon and will start at 5:00 PM, followed by public Q&A at 5:45pm.

This event will include a hybrid in-person and virtual dynamic. The in-person part will invite 110 students to view live from inside Grant Hall. In-person attendees must apply to watch the event from Grant Hall.

In addition to the in-person component, all interested students and faculty members are invited to watch the event through a live virtual livestream.
